Recently I have been revisiting friend's blogsite. No special intention, just that I was free at night and revisit few blogs. It came to my surprises to see many of them has stopped writing. Perhaps they are too busy with new born or maybe diverted the intention to facebook, or maybe because it is not monetize... It is not my problem but just feel wasted cause they are cantonese/chinese blogger and we need more of these people. Or maybe just me, i need more friends that can blog in cantonese..
We started from almost the same time when there is paid post. But I salute them cause they didnt tempted by money but with sole intention of blogging bout their family and life. Some how I do understand as a father/mother for 2, it is very difficult to continue the interest when there are jobs, kids, partner, family and friends to take care at the same time.
Perhaps I will need to wait for another 15 to 20 years, by then they may come back writing again? haha...

RIP WD HDD
I bought it 2 years ago. I dont quite agree that I am a hardcore user but i would say just slightly extensive. I normally use it to copy movies and drama series from my colleagues and I am sure they abuse their hard disk more than me.
But somehow mine just died after 2 years of under my 'careful' usage - I disconnected it properly from the computer each time I detach the USB. Most importantly I didn't drop it before, maybe, i dont know because there was once the cover went off. But in my memory i did not drop it from high, far or any serious distant...
Anyhow, just called WD distributor and they are kind enough to accept the repair but I am wishing 1 to 1 replacement instead. I thought that was what they said during the purchase. But it doesnt matter as long as i can get it fixed but sadly, all the data gong liao... RIP my movies, softwares, games, dramas, animation, entertainment variety etc... : (

Side Income
Recently a friend of mine just received his certification from the Switzerland for his MBA. He scored few merits and receive the distintion in his certification. Looking at his achievement I am sure he will soon turn out to be a very successful man later.
Back to me, I always thinking to further my studies. I am a degree holder but I dont want to further to MBA but instead I would like to have another degree that double or triple my experience so and knowledges. Why, you may ask. Of course it is for the same reason - better package and lifestyle.
Well for general employee like us who worked for 10 years, I guess it is very competative especially there are bunches of new fresh grads that come with MBA. I can't imagine what will happen to us if we don't continue to look for more advancement. But comparing with the fresh grads, I am sure old chaps like me have better advantage because we are not relying only on the profile, but also investment.
Any how we wouldnt know what will happen next. I guess it is time to buy gold coins in case i got beat down by the recruitment market. At least I can still survive by the side income then...

Confused..
I really wanted to put this in words but I dont know how. This is weird and I know it is very unethical but somehow it has been a while since back then. It is getting more ambiguous now as the days passing by.
I don't know how long it will last because the change is coming soon. I seriously hope this will stay a little longer but deep inside of me I know it will soon be gone. It has started to turn sour now and I think it is better to leave earlier rather than later. After all sweet is still more favourable than bitter.
Perhaps someday it may happen. I am waiting but I aint no sure how long I need to wait. You must have think I am talking craps and yes I am cause like I put it upfront, I don't know how to put this and it is confusing...

English Course
It is always my wish to be able to speak more languages. I dont mind if i am speaking a lousy accent, bad grammars or wrong use of words but I believe with more practices make perfected. That's why I picked up Japanese.
Somehow my perception is change towards Englsih. Althought I am able to speak, write, listen and articulate but still I always receive critics on the usage of my grammars. This is a shame especially i am an experience employee but still made basic mistakes than worse than a secondary student.
As English is the mandatory tool to survive, I decide to go for a language center to study from the base. This may look stupid for a grown up to join a bunch of secondary students in a class but for the sake of my future, I think it worths the shame!

TransUnion
Have you ever receive the call from the insurance, bank or other marketing company when you have no idea on how they get your information, especially they know your name and contact etc personal info?
I think it is not surprising for everyone nowadays and in fact, for me it is quite annoying. After a few reading from the paper and the words passing around friends who is working in related firm, we are slowly aware that some company sells they consumer information to the middle company, and it was sold to these marketer.
To some point it is illegal and invading my privacy. I signed up for the product with my personal details but I don't opt for this. It is not here yet but in US, consumer can file the TransUnion Class Action Lawsuit and claim for the monetary damages.

Movies in Jul 2010
On top of traveling I am a big fans for movie and July is definitely a good month for all the movie lovers. If i am not mistaken, July is the summer holiday for the West and usually all sorts of blockbusters will be airing around this time.
In this summer, there are few movies that caught my attention. Despite of I watched Sorcerer's Apprentice, I particularly wanted to watch Despicable Me and Salt. Of course not to forget Inception also because someone told me it is nice.
Well, July is ending soon and i have in fact missed a lot of other movies like Predator, Shrek 4, and Toy Story 3. I know some of them still airing but i don't think anyone would like to watch with me since there are more attractive movies ahead.
Anyway, with the current resourceful internet streaming/seed, I am not worrying but rather thinking it is better to get a better home theater system instead. Haha..
