Physio 初体验

Finally, I took the advice from Dortor Low to go for physio. Excited, I must say cause first, I had a glimpse on the decor and facilities and so I am quite eager to experience them. Secondly is I hope to recover asap. The appointment is 1pm and it took 2 hours to complete the session. Wondering why it took so long? Look at the following activities, I hope I have listed them all..

1. Gentle massage and rubbing for the injured ankle.
2. Ultrasound treatment for ankle for 5 min - numb and slight tinkling pain.
3. Hot pack to stretch the muscles.
4. Massage for the knees, to adjust it back in the center.
5. Ultrasound treatment for knee for 5 min - nice..
6. Begin ankle gym. First is walking on the treadmill . Direction forward, left, backward, and right. Each 2.5min, total 10min.
7. Balancing game. Stand on a board to balance for left/right for 3 min. Then front/back for another 3 min.
8. Walking game, using toe and hill - 3 round each. Total about 10 min.
9. Tip toeing - 5 Min.
10. Leaning game. Lean the body forward to the wall while standing on a 45 degree sloping board.
11. Begin knee gym. First is staircase game. Super slow movement stepping down from a low bench. Repeat 15x for each side.
12. Knee exercise. Raise the left foot, then on right foot, point the toe to the right and squad slightly for 5 second. Repeat 15x for each side.
13. Ball game. Lay on a big ball against the wall as a back support, then slip a small ball in the middle of legs, lower down the body and squeeze the ball =_=". Then up and repeat for 20x.
12. Last, stretching. Bend down your waist and try to touch your toe. Do it as frequent as drinking water!!
13. Back to the place for cold pack. Then bye2 and see you in 2 days later.

Look easy and relaxing eh? In fact it is not. Especially the gym part, it is freaking tough since each activity is concentrating on my weakest area ie. knee and ankle only. My legs are having earthquake throughout the whole session. Now I am suffering from the after effect - still shaking. Haha... What's more? I have to do it at home also everyday in order to get the best result. What the eff...

Well that's not it. The nuclear bomb (according to CP) is during the payment counter. Each session cost RM260!! And so 'lucky' they are having package, so every 6x cost 'only' RM1300. What the effing eff... Anyhow, I signed up. Really hope can reimburse from the company medical claim... Otherwise really EFF them.

SCB KL Marathon

Friends who know me are aware that I am a no sport type of person. Somehow I often proved them wrong. I guess..

First, I conquered mount KK last year. I 'was' a frequent trekker in local hills (before KK). Of course, the habit had stopped ever since I completed the mission : ) Then follow by this year, I participated SCB KL Marathon. Ambitious, I must say. I started training for 2 weeks, then defeated : ) Not because of I can't hold the thought but the problem is my ankle.

I sprained it >10 years ago during college time. I couldn’t walk the moment I cracked it. Then went for the tit ta, which I suspect that’s where I got the fracture when the sifu twisted it...

I was on Chinese med wrapped around the ankle for a week or two. From then on my ankle like detached from my feet, and sometimes I have minor pain too. Until recently since I joined KL marathon, I went jogging for training. Very average, about 3 times a week. But 2 weeks later I suffer the excruciating pain from my right ankle and couldn’t walk properly for 5 days.

That’s where I go for first doctor, in Damansara Specialist for a very famous orthopedic Doctor Gan. With just few pull and touch, he sent me to full MRI scan and x-ray (normally just x-ray will do).

As a result, I got a piece of cracked in the ankle’s bone, 2 tears, internal bruises between the join, and my ankle is shifted aside. The doctor asked me to run some physio exercise by myself at home. If no improvement in 1 month time, then I have to undergo for surgery which take 6 weeks to walk, and 6 month to fully recover

I was frighten to hell, therefore look for second opinion from KL sports medical center – Dr Low. Dr Low told me normally this can be healed by running physio and the recovery rate is 90%. But the physio is 2 times a week, and continue for 6 weeks.

For me, it is worth to try as long as there is no need for surgery. Well, it is tomorrow then. So eager to try now... : )

Save Gold

Just a few days ago me and my cousins were joking about what if one of us is facing bankruptcy. As you know, one who declared bankruptcy is blacklisted from opening bank account and/or any accounts for loan/transaction. In addition, there cant be any asset that own under the name as well.

Well, in fact when we think again, it is indeed not really that bad. If one who is bankrupted, he can consider buy gold bullion to keep the value and reclaim the status when there is enough money/gold. As we know gold's value is always increasing. Decrease? Rare.

Of course this cannot be done in realistic as it's totally violate the regulation. But what is important here is the awareness of gold investment. You will never know one day it could help you when you needed it. Regardless of its value or usage.

Work from Home

My current role allows me to work from home. I think I wrote about this before but again, outsiders think that it is such a wonderful to be able to work from home.

Well I do agree but to certain extend, I dont agree either. Reason being is, the perception from other thought that working from home = no discipline and leisure at home doing own business. But the fact is totally opposite.

Working from home is indeed more stressful. Due to the above reason, the ones who worked from home required more attention to be infront of the laptop. Even with just 5 minutes delay for responding your instant message, the opposite chatter will think you are lazying.

PLEASE! Dont you think it is just too much?? Can I just take a break to make a cup of tea, or toilet break? The situation will be a total opposite when those who said they are very obedient and attentive to office everyday. In which, they reach office by 9am but start breakfast, reading paper, catching football matches, gossiping etc and by the time back to their seat, it's 10.30am.

Best still, 12pm lunch but return to office by 2pm. Not to forget the tea time, ciggies breaks, cubicle hopping and internet surfing time. Then go home at 6pm sharp and consider themselves very hardworking.

What the eff... So if you think it is fun to work from home, think again.

I love Gold

I love gold. This shining yellow piece of metal often drives people crazy. Gold can be very versatile, it can be fixed to your teeth as grille, crafted to your finger, neck, wrist or whichever body parts you can imagine as a fashion. Moreover, you can decor the gold with other natural material like platinum and diamonds to make it more valuable.

Speaking of value, I like gold better in coins and bars. I have a dream of keeping a house with bricks that made with gold bars and the ceiling is tiled with gold coins. Maybe it is time to realize my dream by start investing in gold or start gathering the ceiling material by buy gold coins : )

Afterall, gold is more than just a value, it is touching the meaning of priceless. What you waiting for?
