Revisit OZ

I have been to Australia few years back with my family. I arrived Brisbane and then travel to Gold coast. The entire journey was 6 days 5 night and we spent our Chinese New Year there.

Other than staying at Gold coast we also stayed at the Brisbane for 1 night because the city tour. I forgot the name of the Hotel in Brisbane but it was a very nice view facing the rivers. When I back here my friend told me that Sydney is in fact a place shouldn’t miss because it is very easy to find a Hotel in Sydney.

Despite of all those I would like to visit Melbourne instead. Because many friends of mine studying at Melbourne and I can tap in their home instead of looking a Hotel in Melbourne. Most of all, my current boss is Aussie, perhaps I can follow him during his next trip back home.

House Warming Gift

I always have the problem in buying gift for the new house-warming event. The last 2 times I have also took the advise from my friend by buying the red wine for the new house owner. However due to the network and peoples that we know, I cannot use the same trick on the next coming house warming again.

Although this friend is going to have her house warming at December but she have already informed us in advance. Reason being is to book our time so she can reserve the correct amount for the caterer. Instead of buying a gift myself I am thinking it will be better if I can share the money and buy a more valuable gift basket.

Further it is around the Christmas, I think it is not bad idea to have a combination of house warming and christmas gift baskets for her.

All That Jazz

Yeah that's the theme of our annual dinner. It is all about jazz and for guys we all got todressed up our tux, sleeky slack and shining leather shoes. For ladies, my eyes was swimming and my nose almost bleeding all night long because it was really a big surprise to see how dare the ladies got dressed up that night.

The event was grand and the peoples are dazzling. Just that I don't know much peoples and therefore seems a bit dull sitting alone like a dumb. I have been trying in knowing more peoples but comparing with those social animals, I am nothing. Well other than that the over all is great. Especially my boss, co-emcee with our miss Malaysia Elaine Daly and performed a really nice show. Really gotta see him from the brand new angle cause normally he is quite quiet for me.

The night got heated up when the auction began. The committee brought few galleries open bidding for charity purposes. I was asked to share the cost and involved in the bidding also but somehow our jointed effort can't beat those highly income bidder who took few K for the painting. Of course not to forget about the foods -> it sucks. (Therefore don't wanna put where we held the dinner. Hehee.) Basically the appetizer was just shrimps with some grasses and leaves. Mushroom soup is ok but the main course tasted something like Chinese ‘beggar chicken’ but without gravy, which dry like hell and almost choke everyone in the house. Last but not leave the Tiramisu, which I gave 100% for it. What a so-called fine dining. Hahaa…

However I still enjoyed myself although didn't hit any prizes from lucky draw. But my number is only 3 digits away from the grand prize winning number. Anyway I don't mind because the grand prize doesn't really attract me. (I just trying to be Hsiu Hsah - cool : (…) Hahaa…

Super Blur..

Been long time didn't take medicine. After few days of the 'on drugs' effect, my body is super weak and my mind also kinda exhausted. The best is I am taking both Chinese and Western medicine concurrently. Not sure if that will help or make my body worse.

Thanks to the help from my super nice colleague I have been sleeping from home for about 3 days continuously. My body was so sensitive until I will be fainted whenever I took the medicine. However the situation is getting better because at least now I can stand a bit longer comparing to the first 2 days.

Anyway, thanks to the very well rested 3 days. My body feels like rejuvenated and tomorrow gotta back to office since the work already stacked taller than me...

I got an old friend working in the multinational bank’s credit card center. He is the assistant manager for the telesales and hence always having trouble in looking more and fresh customers.

Spreading Viruses

I has not been felt at sick since the last viral infection fever. I was admitted to hospital and on drip for few days then rested almost a week at home.

However this may just the show before the storm. As I start feeling my body heat is rising (not sexually ok...) and muscle pain, tired and weak.

Great Show - Transformer

I was asked by my secondary school mate to watch transformer after I wrote about my desperation.

Frankly this is the coolest film ever. Although there are many areas they didn't explained clearly but I think it is worthwhile to experience the fight, the motion and the graphic in the movie. Not to forget the sound system, I truly believe that you couldn't have the same sounds system comparing with the theater even though with the most advanced home theater systems.

If there is a chance I wont mind to buy ticket and watch for second time. Really nice and an original DVD is something that I wont missed...

Theme Parks

I just had this conversation with my friend during the yesterday lunch hour. We talked about the various theme parks and comparing each other.

There are many different theme parks around the world but the most famous is non-other than Disneyland and Universal Studio. I never been to the Disneyland but I hope I got the chance to visit the newest Hong Kong Disneyland if I attend my friend wedding coming October.

1 Day 1 Coke

I was addicted to coke. The habit of 1 day 1 coke started since I was with my first company. The company is so generous by subsidizing half of the price for all the drinks in the vending machine.

From then on coke seems to my official after lunch drink. Sometimes I took it as breakfast too. Haha… Fortunately enough I cut the habit not long after I left. Although I still have the desires of drinking coke during office hour but I managed to control it since nowhere to purchase.

However comes to the current company now, they have my lovely vending machine that sell coke again. Sad to say, I started it again even without subsidization. Damn, should I consider in applying a job there so I can die faster. Hahaa.

Kopi O Kopi

I don't like coffee, specifically Nescafe and all other coffees from Coffee Bean, Starbucks etc because I couldn't take in the caffeine level contained in the coffee. I had few bad experiences during my young age about the side effect of nauseas and shaking after taken the coffee.

Despite of all those craps above I do take one and only one type of coffee that can only be founds in Malaysia. We have this coffee named ‘Kopi’ and basically it taste different (Although most of my friends telling me it was the same as Nescafe) but I do believed it contained higher caffeine level compare of other coffees.

Of course I will suffer from the same side effect but I willing to since this is one of my all time favorite on top of coke, which also a well-known caffeinated drinks. Hahaa.

Ring My Belly

I was so freaking happy when I receive this post. I am so wanted to get this kind of post especially when I read my friend write about the tattoo.

This is really my favorite topic because I just can’t stop loving tattoo and piercing. For me tattoo comes a pair with piercing. I have did some research last time on the piercing pattern because I would really want to put one for my self also. At once I even approached the shop ready to make a nose ring but my Philippino friend stopped me because the pin hole will not recovered and will cause a lot of troubles.

I was advised to pierce on my ears but I just don't like it. I have considered other parts (head only) like eye brown and chin but I think it is a bit too much. I think the only choice is my body now and nop!! No nipples, penis or other sensitive body parts. I just want a belly button rings and that's enough. Wait and see.

Broadband Down

My broadband died again. The modem only shows the Lan and wireless signal light but the DSL/Internet signal remains dim.

I have restarted the modem many times but still couldn't see the green and therefore I called up Maxis to check what is going on. The agent sounds quite professional. Perhaps he has received tons of similar calls and he informed that he will checked and reset the line. Also asked me to restart the modem in half an hour later to see if I can go online.

I tried, but failed. I called back to the Maxis support but another agent picked up. I think this agent is quite new as he asking all the standard questions from the screen only. (As he just read it out…) As a former call quality analyst, if I come across this call recording sure I will rate him failed. However due to it is late at night, I don't want to waste my time to ‘play the game’ with him.

His lucky day as I just simply jotted down the incident number: C3177820 and that's it…

Upgrade Wind

Not long ago PPP just have their major release done. The upgrade included many useful tools for blogger conveniences. In addition also have the famous 7 and a series of surprising events.

While everyone still have not get enough from PPP but somehow they cool down now. Luckily the rest of the provider also follow the trend by upgrade their system. Say for example BGT, BVT and SMT, all of them got their system and services enhanced. More posts are available comparing with last time. These waves just come at the right time to save blogger like me to maintain the income. Even PP joined the train to upgrade their system to beta version.

As a blogger, the more competition they are, the more benefits we have. Hehee.

Stock Footage

Writing this post seems a bit hectic for me because I don't know the meaning of stock footage. I can only guess the rough idea by reading the web release but that is not enough for me to understand the gist of it.

With the help from the Internet I finally got the to know that stock footage is indeed the technique of film techniques. To make it easy to understand I put an example here: Star Trek. All the Star Trek series kept a collection of shots of starships that would appear on a regular basis, being used most of the time a ship was seen. This explained why stock footage always being used in the sci-fi movies or animations.

Nothing from PPP

It has been few weeks or almost a month I didn't write for PPP. I have checked with CP and she confirmed that she has not received much posts from PPP either even if she is PR3.

Apart from seeing the income getting lesser but I am also worry if PPP would only focus the blogger group from other region, or for blogger who have higher PR. You know, as getting more blogger to join the train, blogger with PR0 like me always got open fire first…

Well if it is true then the only hope now is to wait for my PR turn higher during the next update. If you can’t wait, then just choose BGT instead, like me. Hehee.

Baby Diary

Do you write a blog for your baby? I think in the future your baby will appreciates your effort in writing the blog for them because they can compare it with their friends.

This is the trend for now but does anyone know in next 10 or 20 years later how this trend gonna change the life of your children? They might just use the blog and exchange it with friends who have blog also. What about for those whose parent didn't write them a blog? I think on top of blaming by their children but the kids will also being compared by friends for being so lame.

I am not sure if this will really happen. Perhaps just my imagination.

Virus Attack

I still remembered the last time my machine attacked by the virus. In fact I have the anti-virus installed and till now I still do not understand how the virus did it.

During the infection my desktop will fills with many funny icon. Then slowly the browser will be auto redirected to other gambling and porn webpage. I use the anti-spyware to scan it first and manage to identify the virus but couldn't remove it. Then I even use download the fix tool from the anti-virus trying to fix the bug. Somehow it doesn't work but became worse. Some of my programs start malfunctioned, as the original execution file has disappeared.

At the end I format the system and installed the fresh copy. From this incident I realized user couldn't just trust the anti-virus but required to install anti Spyware and Outpost Firewall as well to ensure the security. However by doing so will cost a bomb, how nice it could be if we can find the software that is all in one to ensure no virus attack.

Political Environment

The project is officially end tonight as my transition manager is signing off the process document with the project manager, operation manager and service manager.

However this project is in fact have not really end yet because they agreed something that has not been completed. This project is considered 50% successful but somehow the remaining 50% will take longer time than the previous to complete.

I think the major reason why we can sign off the project is because we got a highly political skills project manager and transition manager. Nevertheless I gotta thank them for tai chi all the responsibilities by using the bosses and statuses. If this case happened to be handled by my ex-boss, I am sure I am in deep shit now. (Because I will be forced to stay over night until the remaining 50% got completed before the bosses finds out)…

Addicted to Timbaland

Unless commercial requirement I am indeed very seldom post the video/pictures/banner in my blog. Reason being is I don't wanna ‘pollute’ the place since there are already many commercials hanging alongside.

However for this post I would really like to share the following clips with you guys. I have repeatedly playing the MTV again and again because I just like the duet of Timbaland and Keri Hilson. I got to know Timbaland from the song Say It Right from Nelly Furtado ft. Timbaland. Subsequently the radio also broadcasted his other songs from Shock Value featuring with various artists like Justin Timberlake etc.

Graduates in USA

I have never really been to USA but I got the degree due to the twinning program. We take the US paper but attend the course locally in Malaysia.

On top of the differences of peoples, languages, environment I am in fact very interest in knowing what is the education system comparing USA and Malaysia. From my friends and current working colleagues I got to know that graduates are indeed very valuable.

Back in Malaysia, we made a joke that there will be 90% of the victims are graduates if then banner accidentally felt down and hit on the victims. Writing for capella university makes me feels that the possibility of graduates in USA will be much more higher compare to Malaysia. Hence if there is chance in future, I will sure pay a visit to USA.

1 Last Interim for Today

Hahaa, at the end I still decided to write 1 last post for capella before I off to the bed. I bet tomorrow I will be walking like a zombie and couldn't make a proper decision/answer if my transition manager starts shooting his political questions.

On top of the transition manager, I got another cunning project manager who talks like Shrek’s Pinocchio – always bring me around the garden but at the end don't know what the heck he is talking. Ok, gotta prepare for tomorrow’s battling and better off to bed now…

Someone Lives Inside Me

As time moving on in writing blog, the more I felt that I got different personality. Not 2 but many. Simple, if you do notice I am in fact writing to myself. Then most of the time I behave very differently between writing and in person. Not sure if this is the side effect of writing blog, or just that I awaken the other personality that hibernated deep inside of me.

Mother Student

My friend’s wife continued her study after she has delivered a baby. I am very impressed with the spirit and the urge she have in continuing her study.

The part that impressed me most is she study while take care of her baby. Honestly if this happened to me, I wouldn't know if I can still have the time and energy to continue study. I couldn't imagine how can she complete her assignment on time especially when the baby nags and cry.

I would really like to suggest the capella university for her to run the online learning. At least she can leverage her burden but good thing is, according to my friend his wife is now has graduated.

Another 3

While I bitching the how lousy I am I found there are 3 more posts just published from BGT. I think if I can put slightly more effort then most properly I can happily clicking on the accept button in PP by next weeks. Now I am wondering if I still gonna write the remaining 5 posts from BGT. It is really wasted if I see them auto release buta-buta!

Loooooser!

It’s been a long time since I write for paid post. 1 week didn't write also seems like stopped for 1 year and all my ideas also hiding at don't know which corner in my brain.

I am so lucky to received another 11 posts from BGT but somehow all of them also pointing at the same subject. Well I will try my very best in achieving the target but however it is just too hard now for write 22 interim posts.

Somemore I am deadly sleepy now and tomorrow still gotta travel long way back to office. I think just gotta stop at 6 posts max! What a looser…

Study from Home

There are many students came out from their hometown and further their study at city because of better university and more variety.

In Malaysia some family who has only 1 child may not have the advantage of traveling and study out of town because of the restriction of the parent. Therefore some might lose the chance of pursuing higher education and ended up stop study after high school. I Wanna Go Japan Too!

My Japanese classmate just came back from Tokyo and he got to explain how wonderful his trip was.

Well as a Japanese class student, travel to Japan seems to be the only reason why I study there. Somehow almost everyone has/will/is going to Japan but left me. I am loosing out my motivation and not sure why am I still continuing the study.

The best is my sensei still making fun out of me. What a pitiful student…

My Boss

What is your definition of good boss?

For me mine will be a boss that will not control my working hours, decisions, directions and approaches I used in facilitating the work. For some peoples they think these kinda bosses are sucks. But for me they are just perfect because I got to do almost everything and thus spreading my ability into maximum.

Somehow the disadvantage is my boss never knows what I am doing and therefore couldn't rate me accurately during appraisal. Luckily I got reference. Haha…

Staying with MIL

Do/will you have the problem staying with your parent in laws? Recently I watched the entertainment show from Taiwan, which they invited the family who is having this problem and show it on TV.

The MIL and DIL was quarrelling non-stop but I think the party who suffered the most will be the husband. Standing in between of the 2 ladies he loved most, it is really a tragedy to see why a man gotta suffered from these fight. The ending is of course the wife won because husband agreed to move out from the house and not staying together.

For the ladies, I am sure you all are very happy to see the ending but do think twice. You might come across the same ending when you have a DIL.

I Wanna Watch Transformer

I am so regret now to reject the offer from my friend when his company have extra movie ticket for the show - Transformer.

I found my movie gang is getting lesser these days. Most of them got married, coupled or even watched with other friends. I feeling so sad of loosing them but somehow this is life. People grow, go and eventually gone. I think just gotta bear with this trend...

G-Scheme

I was wonder why would my current company have many youngster but achieved the manager title. I got the understanding from my senior later that they are the university graduates who score good result and joined in the G-Scheme.

They started off as the management trainee and been assigned to different department in order to absorb the working experiences for the duration of 2 years. Each of them will be evaluated by the departmental manager and required to go through a series of training in order to pass the challenge and become manager.

So for the youngster out there I would suggest them to take a course from capella university then perhaps can join the next batch of G-Scheme.

Loosing Interest

After writing for so long, recently I am reducing my production because as what I mentioned in the title - I am loosing out of interest.

Partly because of the motivation is getting low, another reason is because of my work. Although still not much work (as usual) but somehow the pressure of no work is increasing and causing myself to look for more work in order to pretend busy... (haha).

Apart of attending meeting, I also trying to read more Linux material to increase my knowledge. Hope this will help me in my next coming role...

Crime in MY

Recently there are a non-stop series of crime keep on happening in the Malaysian community. If you happened to notice most of them also involved violent.

From blasting the model, raping the women (including pregnant one..), kidnap the kids, kiling own daughter and dismember the body etc... What is really happening to our city and what the heck is our policeman doing here other than sucking our blood sweat money?

I am now don't know how to tell my oversea friends about our situation here. Perhaps in another couple of years I might even migrate out from here if the situation remain.

Master PhD

I wouldn't notice there are lots of Master Degree holders around me if not because of the coincident of our lunch topic today.

As usual we were talking about the career and job progression. One noted that those with Master Degree would have better advantage in climbing the corporate ladder. But on another hand the other debate the other wise. Soon as the conversation went further we then understand the debating side are in fact Master Degree holder but yet remain at the same level just like us.

Later we are surprise when they brought up more names that also having the same situation. Well for me I think they are still have better advantage because after all they are still young comparing with me. I think it is time for me to consider capella university for a PhD…

Never Play the Knob

I always don't like the company toilet doors because we can’t see the opposite and don't know when it will open. Plus the peoples here don't know why but always like to bang the door and rush in. So I always got frightened each time trying to go out when someone barged in.

Today I was locked in the toilet just now because I was playing with a colleague and not to let him in. I couldn't open the door even twisting hard on the knob. My colleague was panic and there are few more peoples coming in and wanna use the toilet. We struggled for about 5 minutes and finally managed to open it – by forced. Not by kicking but uses a tissue help to twist and open the knob.

Do I still have to tell you the moral of the story? Yes, and I am fully understand that now!

Back To Tech?

Today is deadly demoralized. I think just gotta blame the morning team meeting. It is all started with an engineer presented the slides about the new Red Hat that he attended at San Diego last week.

Perhaps I am just too desperate but when I heard that someone got the chance the go oversea just to attend the training, I was mad. How come those opportunities never happened to me but it always happened for those who are not willing but yet still forcing to go? The next thing coming up is the management will send an engineer to oversea HQ and base there for 1.5 months. OMG, how nice it would be if they choose me. And yet again, the chosen one ‘trying to be’ so humble and said doesn’t wish to stay for that long because family is still here… BS!

All these engineers also came from technical background. I chose to go after project because I am tired of operation. Somehow it clearly that my choice has wrong… (or I just being the most unluckiest one?)

Ambition

Still remember what you wrote during your primary school time when teacher gave the title – ambition?

I do. I remember I wanna be a pilot. Well I think my ambition still haven’t change because I still dreaming for a free life. Free of burden, free of hassle, free of troubles, and flying in the sky seems to be the only way of freedom.

However, that is not the point. I think we need to focus on our next generation now because I think their ambition will no longer as ‘pure’ as us. Thanks to the movie I think the children will have the ambition that you and me will never think of like: Pirates, Thieves (Ocean 13, Tomb Raider), Vampire or Werewolves (Underworld) and many more.

If this really happened then I suggest we better just play our old folk movies for our kids: Sound of Music. Hahaa…

Control

Recently I have this very interesting topic with this lady friend of mine. We are talking about the marriage and I ask when is her turn. She in return replied me a very surprised answer: I don't wanna get controlled so early. I want a free life, even after marriage. But based on friends’ experiences husband is very controlling…

My jaw almost drop on the keyboard cause all the while my impression is wife controlling husband. How come it is the other way back now? I got many many newly wed guys friends and they start complaining to me about how they misses the single life la bla bla bla. Mostly is because the wife is very controlling and every night must dinner at home, weekend must go parent houses etc etc.

For me this is totally whole new situation. Ladies, is that something new to you too?

Thirst for Training

After working as a contractor for about 2 years, I feel that my knowledge is not enough to cope with the market requirement.

I have just attended the Local People Principle at the current company and the management is telling that the training funding is still under utilization. Unfortunately that is only applicable to staff only. I think if I entitled the budget, most properly I will request to attend the courses provided by capella university.

I think I am really desperate to attend training and courses now because I already in the level of reading other technical document to reduce my thirst.

Keeping Promises

I had a great travel experience to Shanghai last year. I think the major reason is because I got to tap in the free accommodation and spent minimum whilst enjoyed the maximum.

Closing to 8 months later the friend is telling me that he will be traveling there again. My first impression in receiving the text message is that he wanna show off to me again. But somehow later I found out that he is in fact keeping his promise of telling me whenever he will travel.

I was impressed yet embarrass because honestly I don’t even remembered if we made such promise (sorry). I think perhaps I am facing this illness where I will forget the words I said or the promise I made. But think twice again, which guy will ever remember that?

However, I am truly flattered to have such caring friend. I know I am such a heartless pig but I do hope that he will continue to keep and remind me all the promises we/he/I made. Because basically I had forgotten most...

9 July is in fact a very special day for me. This is the day I joined my first company. But 4 years later it became my last day in the company.

I have many good and bad memories during my stay with the company. I agreed that along the 4 years I have done tons of mistakes but on another hands I also learned a lot of working experiences. Never regrets of staying at that company for such long duration and most importantly, I got to know a lot of buddies and pals.

Climb KK

Anyone here experienced the trip to Mount Kota Kinabalu before?

I had couple of friends who have been there and all of them also guarantee the satisfaction. I am not the sportive type of person but from what their explained to me, it really sounds like a trip that I can never miss in my life.

Other than the exhausted and unable to walk for few days, so far I have only heard the positive comments about the journey. Therefore I would really like to heard something else so I might prepare myself before considering to subscribe a trip some time next year to challenge my body stamina.

In fact until now I am still a bit hesitate to open my blog to my friends. Reason ma... not much. Just that many friends commented that I behave differently in writing comparing with in person.

I am not sure why, but writing for me is some form reflecting the true 'Me' hiding deep inside the faking shell. However to some degree I do confused whether which one is the really 'Me'. Perhaps this is the reason I drawing back until today cause I want them to think I am acting in front of them.

Anyway, who care now.. Cause from another point of view it is good to open it since I got really nothing to loose. Furthermore I think it will be better to let them know who I really am. I think that is why I opened the channel for TSH...

Left My Badge

The current company I working with is quite up to date. We use smart card to do almost everything like physical access, system login and single logon. Due to the convenience I have also attached my drawer keys and Kensington lock keys together with the badge.

It is really handy until today I left my badge at home. I was F'dup. First I can't access to the car park and gotta park along the road illegally. Then can't access to the office building and need to register a temp card for access. Also thanks to the handiness, I don't have the key to open my drawer when I suppose to distribute some cards that locked inside. Not to forget about my machine, I can't login to all of the applications but only email. Which caused me almost total break down in the Monday.

Last but not least, I was so dump until I attached my laptop with the docking which has locked with the Kensington. Basically now I got no choice but to leave the laptop stay overnight at the office. And this is really a 'convenience and handy' lesson for me to learn. Damn.

Travel to UK

I have been planning a trip to UK since I was in the college. Due to the financial problem, I don't get the chance like others to further my degree in UK.
