As most of you know I was from the IT call center background. My previous company is a subsidiary of an international bank and recently they are acquiring the business card center on top of just the IT helpdesk.
Initially this is good news for my ex-colleagues because at least the company is growing and they have the chance in exploring different skills instead of just IT. Apart from that there are also new opportunities and promotions for the seniors that work in the company for long time.
However the downsize of it is that they have to learn from scratch, and scolded by the customers due to the lack of knowledge. Perhaps in future they may required to do telemarketing, like referring the Telemarketing Lists Broker to acquire more business for the bank. Well, who knows?
