Power Failure

This is a sponsored post

I am working in the company that running 24 by 7. My company is the IT area located at Cyberjaya Malaysia - the place that well known with Multinational Company in setting up their Data Center and helpdesks with Multimedia Super Corridor status.

As most of us know that data center cannot afford any down time, this including the technology equipment, buildings or even human resources. This is because as the hosting company, if any power failure means the money is loosing by minutes. Therefore having the back up power in supporting the infrastructures has been always a critical issue for all the data centers.

I still remember my ex-company uses electric power to serve as the alternative energy for the back up. Somehow this will pollute the environment as it runs on gas and fuel; causing tremendous smokes and noises. However the company can’t leave without it because this power will at least keeps the center operate for hours in order to switch the support to some Contingency Plan.

Having this system not only causing money, construction but also pollution to the environment. Therefore I think the company should start consider to replace this with solar energy. Solar energy does not have all the mentioned problems. On top of that it is reusable and simply install a generator then will take the energy that the panels harness from the sun, and turn it into the various sources needed to feed power.

Besides that solar energy also have many other functionalities. So for all the entrepreneurs out there, I think it is time to change and save our environment now.
